“Elephant Walk” takes place at NATO TIGER MEET 2021

Today, 12th of May, was the second day dedicated to Spotter’s at #NTM2021. About 160 photography and military aviation enthusiasts of various nationalities were present.

During the morning, the “Elephant Walk” was held, with 23 aircraft. This “Elephant Walk” involved aircraft from the countries attending #NTM2021. The “Elephant Walk” is an aeronautical tradition that takes place at the end of a large exercise that involves several countries and allies. The military aircraft taxied, in close formation, right before takeoff.

During the afternoon, the spotter's observed take-offs and landings, and had the opportunity to photograph among other, the following aircraft: The Polish, Greek and Portuguese F-16M, the Swiss F-18s’, the Italian fighter EF -2000 Typhoon, and the helicopters HH.101, HH.212, and lastly the Portuguese EH-101 Merlin.

Upon arrival at Air Base N. º11, in Beja, the Spotter’s day participants were all tested for COVID-19.
