Night operations for the first time at NATO TIGER MEET 2021

For the first time in Portugal, the NATO TIGER MEET participating military forces performed night operations.

Night flight training is crucial to hone techniques, procedures and tactical training in a high complex operational environment, due to little external references that even with the use of night vision googles are low.

This type of exercise is an improvement in air operations, as it allows for aircraft to not be identified, thus conferring them greater protection against enemy fire.

This is a major step in NATO TIGER MEET history, where the The Portuguese Air Force 301 squadron - ?jaguars? stands out as the pioneer, by facilitating the necessary conditions to maximize, day and night, operational training in demanding and multi-domain scenarios safely.
